Global Studies Program

What is Global Studies?

Global Studies is a program that offers students in Watkinson the opportunities to engage and learn about issues that the world is facing today. The program uses presentations, discussions, services, trips, and much other variety of ways to help students create connections between students’ focus and the actual world.

Jesse and Global Studies

I joined Global study by the beginning of my junior year in 2018, but before that, I had joined multiple program events during my sophomore year.

In the Global Study program, students get the opportunity to attend different events and participate in various activities in the local area all year long. I got the chance to meet and communicate with experts in different areas including some that I am really interested in. During the past one year in the Global Study Program, I have been to some significant trips such as visiting the UN, going to the first Palestine museum, and meeting the CEO of HBO.
